　　From May 26 to 27, the National On-site Conference on Coal Mine Gas Extraction, Utilization, and Ventilation Safety Technology, organized by the China National Coal Association and the National Administration of Coal Mine Safety Supervision, was successfully held in Jincheng City. Our company, as the sole enterprise specializing in gas purification and utilization, was invited to attend and engaged in fruitful exchanges with leaders from coal mining enterprises across the country.

　　Wang Xianzheng, President of the China National Coal Association; Ren Runhou, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province; Fu Jianhua, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Work Safety and Director of the National Coal Mine Safety Administration; Liang Jia-kun, Wang Shu-he, Tian Hui, and Liu Feng, leaders of the China National Coal Association and the National Coal Mine Safety Administration; as well as Liu Runmin, Mayor of Jincheng City, attended the meeting. Wu Huatai, Chairman and Party Secretary of Jincheng Coal Group, presented the group’s experience at the meeting.

　　In his address, Fu Jianhua summarized the achievements made in coal mine gas prevention and control nationwide in recent years, analyzed the current situation and existing problems facing coal mine gas management, and put forward requirements for further strengthening coal mine gas prevention and control efforts.

　　During the meeting, Wang Xianzheng emphasized that the coal industry must pay close attention to the structural adjustment of the coal sector and promote the industrialization of the coal economy through its transformation into a raw-materials-based industry; at the same time, it must closely monitor the impact of the downturn in the coal economy on mine safety and continuously enhance coal-mining safety assurance capabilities.

　　Vice Governor Ren Runhou, on behalf of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and the Shanxi Provincial People’s Government, extended congratulations on the convening of the conference. He also emphasized the need to continuously strengthen research on comprehensive coalbed methane utilization technologies and vigorously advance the “Gasification of Shanxi” initiative, so as to further elevate, on a province-wide scale, the level of coal mine gas drainage, utilization, and ventilation safety technologies nationwide.

　　Attendees conducted on-site visits to explore advanced technologies, processes, and equipment employed by Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group, including research on coal-bed methane extraction and utilization, engineering construction, coal-to-liquids production, coal-bed methane liquefaction, and coal-mining machinery manufacturing. During the conference, ten organizations—including the National Engineering Research Center for Coal Mine Gas Control and the Chongqing Research Institute of China Coal Science and Technology—presented technical reports.

　　Relevant officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the National Energy Administration, and other ministries and commissions attended the meeting. Also in attendance were heads of coal industry regulatory authorities, coal mine safety supervision bureaus, and coal industry associations from major coal-producing provinces (and autonomous regions) across the country, as well as responsible officials from coal enterprises and institutions, members of the Coal Industry Technical Committee, and experts and scholars.
