Recently, the group standard T/CIET 1003-2025 “Technical Specification for Methane Recovery and Utilization in Oil and Gas Fields”, drafted mainly by Sichuan DKT Energy Technology Co., Ltd.( A subsidiary of Hydrexia (China)), was successfully released.
The document specifies technical requirements, equipment requirements, methane recovery and utilization processes, fuel-gas utilization, chemical utilization, safety and environmental requirements, and operational management for methane recovery and utilization in oil and gas fields.

The establishment of this standard will promote the sustainable, high-quality development of China’s methane recovery and utilization industry in oil and gas fields.
Dakote Energy has long been committed to the research and development, engineering design, and application of technologies related to peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. Specifically, the company has independently developed proprietary recovery and utilization technologies for carbon dioxide and methane—both major greenhouse gases—in various industrial gas streams (with methane having a global warming potential 25 times that of carbon dioxide)—while also developing high-CO 2 Adsorption capacity and CO 2 /Decarbonization-specific adsorbents with hydrocarbon separation coefficients, along with corresponding advanced pressure swing adsorption process technologies. This technology has been successfully implemented in projects at the Jilin Oilfield, the Fushan Oilfield in Hainan, the Liaohe Oilfield, and other sites.

Looking ahead, Dakote Energy will continue to participate in the development of relevant standards, increase R&D investment, adopt advanced technologies to reduce methane emissions and enhance recovery and utilization rates, and promote green, low-carbon development. The company will also strengthen talent development, actively fulfill its social responsibilities, expand international cooperation, and contribute to the country’s early achievement of the “3060” dual carbon goals.
