Recently, the TSA purification unit for the coal deep-processing and comprehensive utilization project of Guizhou Qixin Industrial Co., Ltd., constructed by Dakota Energy, has been successfully completed. The client has expressed high recognition of Dakota Energy’s engineering expertise, product quality, and project management capabilities, and has once again awarded Dakota Energy the “Outstanding Supplier” honor for 2024. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the client’s trust and support.

The project employs Dacote Energy’s independently developed and manufactured temperature-swing adsorption (TSA) technology for the removal of tar, benzene, and naphthalene, along with its proprietary core adsorbent products. This technology has undergone multiple rounds of technological innovation; most notably, in 2017 the company successfully developed the third-generation DKT-30D/B specialized TSA adsorbent for benzene and naphthalene removal, which has since been deployed in numerous coking projects, delivering significant breakthroughs in purification performance and service life. To date, this technology and its core products have been successfully implemented in a wide range of similar projects, including those at Shaanxi Longmen Coking, Xinjiang Xinhui Gorge, Shanxi Woneng, Inner Mongolia Black Cat (Phases I and II), Shanxi Yaxin, Shanxi Yixin, Shanxi Tongzhou, Anyang Shunli, Donghai New Energy, Inner Mongolia Guangju, Zhongjin Taihang, Inner Mongolia Hengkun, Guizhou Meijin (Phases I and II), and Guizhou Qixin.
The official commissioning of the project will help Guizhou Qixin enhance production quality and efficiency, promote the efficient recovery and utilization of resources, facilitate the in-situ deep processing and conversion of local coal resources, improve resource and energy utilization efficiency, accelerate the integration of the entire industrial chain and the comprehensive utilization of all resources in the traditional phosphate–coal chemical industry, and foster clustered industrial development.

Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA)
Technical Features and Advantages:
Conduct process design rationally by selecting single-stage or multi-stage adsorption beds based on the composition and concentration of impurities in the gas, thereby ensuring optimal purification performance.
Design the adsorption tower appropriately, with particular emphasis on the tower diameter-to-height ratio, gas distribution, and mechanical water separation, to eliminate adverse phenomena such as channeling, bypass flow, and the entrainment of mechanical water into the adsorbent bed, thereby ensuring high adsorbent utilization efficiency.
The third-generation temperature-variable adsorption-specific adsorbent, independently developed and optimized for production, effectively removes impurity components (such as tar, naphthalene, and benzene) from the feed gas. Featuring low bulk density, high pore volume, large specific surface area, and enhanced adsorption capacity, this adsorbent also exhibits easier and more thorough desorption, thereby ensuring long-term, safe, and stable operation of the unit.
