Highlights from the Company’s 2013 Autumn Excursion to Songpinggou in Mao County

Sichuan DKT Energy Technology Co., Ltd.( A subsidiary of Hydrexia (China))

On November 2–3, 2013, the company organized an autumn excursion to Songpinggou in Mao County. Located within Mao County—the region with the highest concentration of Qiang ethnic residents in China—Songpinggou lies more than 220 kilometers from Chengdu. The entire scenic area was formed by the magnitude-7.5 Diexi earthquake that struck at 3:50 p.m. on August 25, 1933, making it one of the best-preserved, most vivid, and most typical examples of earthquake heritage in China—and a rarity on a global scale. The area boasts excellent natural ecological conservation, with lush vegetation, rich biodiversity, and aquatic algae that give the water surface a kaleidoscope of hues, ranging from deep green to navy blue and emerald. Under the golden autumn sun, the colorful forests are reflected in the shimmering waters, their colors constantly shifting, creating a mesmerizing, almost trance-like spectacle.

Over the course of two tightly packed days, we marveled at towering mountains, alpine lakes nestled among the peaks, pristine primeval forests, seismic fault lines, and the breathtaking harmony of land and water—experiencing nature’s very own oxygen-rich sanctuary, its crisp, invigorating air. Tracing the ancient trails once trodden by horse caravans, we were serenaded by the delicate fragrance of wildflowers seeping from the dense woods along the way, savored the profound depth of “Ink Sea,” felt the weathered patina of “Long Sea,” reveled in the exhilaration of a strenuous climb, luxuriated in the leisurely ease of horseback riding, sipped the rich, mellow Zha liquor of the Qiang people, tasted succulent grilled meats, and joined in the lively Qiang Guozhuang dance. In that moment, all our everyday toil melted away, leaving us utterly relaxed and free—awed by nature’s miraculous allure and deeply moved by the timeless ebb and flow of human life.

The weather at the scenic area was perfectly cooperative, with two days of brilliant sunshine. High up in the mountains by the sea, we even witnessed snowflakes dancing in the air, towering snow-capped peaks, and an azure sky—everything felt so natural, so harmonious, and so serene. This event allowed everyone to cast off the trappings of daily life, reconnect with nature, and uplift our spirits. Although the activity has come to an end, the enthusiasm remains strong; we are confident that we will approach our new work with a hundredfold passion!
