According to a January 8 report by the Huaxi Metropolis Daily’s “Wealth Tide” section (by reporter Li Chen): Headline: Two Sichuan Firms Make Forbes’ List of Most Promising Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. The report states that on January 7, 2014, the Chinese edition of Forbes released its “China’s Most Promising Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” ranking. Sichuan-based companies Jiuyuan New Direction and Dakote Energy were both named among the Top 100 Non-Listed Companies with Strong Growth Potential, ranking 63rd and 64th, respectively. Among the Top 100 Listed Companies with Growth Potential, Boya Interactive took first place, followed by Dongxu Optoelectronics and Haishike in second and third, respectively. Jiuyuan New Direction primarily engages in the production of intelligent information systems for rail transit. From 2010 to 2012, its sales growth rate reached as high as 89%, while its net profit growth rate hit 63%. Another company on the list, Dakote Energy, ranked 64th; its core business is gas separation and purification, with a net profit growth rate of 212% between 2010 and 2012.
