Recently, the PSA hydrogen production unit and TSA purification unit for the 400,000-ton-per-year methanol and 100,000-ton-per-year synthetic ammonia project—Phase I—undertaken by Dakete Energy for East Sea New Energy Industrial Co., Ltd. of Alxa League successfully passed the owner’s acceptance inspection. The owner expressed high recognition of Dakete Energy’s product quality and project management capabilities and conferred upon Dakete Energy the honorary title of “Outstanding Supplier”!

 

 

This project leverages Dakote Energy’s independently developed pressure swing adsorption and temperature swing adsorption patented technologies, along with a range of proprietary specialty adsorbents that the company has designed and manufactured in-house. These innovations fully capitalize on the unit’s technical advantages—energy efficiency, high operational efficiency, safety and stability, ease of operation, and high plant availability—thereby supporting the enhancement of quality and efficiency as well as the efficient recovery and utilization of resources at Donghai New Energy. As a result, the project has delivered significant economic and environmental benefits.


This project utilizes our company’s independently developed technology:

(1) Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Technical Features and Advantages:

Employing a variety of proprietary, in-house-developed and manufactured specialty adsorbents that deliver performance more than 30% superior to conventional adsorbents;

Utilizing a proprietary, patented pressure swing adsorption process, the unit offers flexible operation, safe and stable performance, and a compact footprint.

High hydrogen yield, low energy consumption for hydrogen purification, and low operating costs;

Hydrogen purification technology is mature, with extensive project track record and rich experience in engineering design and operation.

(2) Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) Technology Technical features and advantages:

Conduct process design rationally by selecting single-stage or multi-stage adsorption beds based on the composition and concentration of impurities in the gas, thereby ensuring optimal purification performance.

Conduct adsorption tower design in a rational manner, with particular emphasis on the tower diameter-to-height ratio, gas distribution, and mechanical water separation, to eliminate adverse phenomena such as channeling, bypass flow, and the entrainment of mechanical water into the adsorbent bed, thereby ensuring high adsorbent utilization efficiency.

The third-generation temperature-variable adsorbent, independently developed and optimized for this application, effectively removes impurity components such as tar, naphthalene, and benzene from the feed gas. Featuring low bulk density, high pore volume, large specific surface area, and enhanced adsorption capacity, it also exhibits easier and more complete desorption, thereby ensuring long-term, safe, and stable operation of the unit.

The group standard T/CIET 1003-2025 “Technical Specification for Methane Recovery and Utilization in Oil and Gas Fields”, in which Sichuan DKT Energy Technology Co., Ltd.( A subsidiary of Hydrexia (China)) served as the main drafting unit, has been successfully released.
