Recently, Dakote Energy [Hydrogen Maple (China) Holdings] won the bid for the pressure swing adsorption unit of the 12,000 Nm³/h hydrogen purification system for proton exchange membrane fuel cells at Shanxi Wone Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hangzhou Oxygen Group Co., Ltd. This unit represents the largest single hydrogen-generation facility currently under construction in China for industrial-scale applications in proton exchange membrane fuel cells. The project is being implemented under an EPC contracting model, with core equipment delivered as highly integrated skid-mounted modules, thereby effectively meeting the demand for short construction timelines in hydrogen-energy projects.

This project employs Dakote Energy’s independently developed pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology for hydrogen purification, along with proprietary high-purity hydrogen-specific adsorbents, to produce hydrogen that meets the quality requirements stipulated in the national standard GB/T 37244-2018 “Fuel Hydrogen for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Vehicles” using industrial hydrogen-rich tail gas as feedstock. The resulting product hydrogen serves as the core hydrogen supply source for Hangzhou Howo Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s large-scale, integrated “hydrogen-electricity” energy island.
The project is scheduled for completion and commissioning in August 2024. Upon implementation, it will help Hangzhou Wo Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd. develop a large-scale, integrated “hydrogen-electricity-gas” energy island that offers hydrogen refueling, electric vehicle charging, and natural gas filling services. The hydrogen purified using DakoTech Energy’s PSA technology can effectively meet the energy-supply needs of various types of hydrogen-powered vehicles and other end-use applications, significantly enhancing the economic value of hydrogen-rich tail gases while accelerating the development of the local hydrogen industry chain, fostering a regional green ecosystem, and supporting the optimization and upgrading of the local economic structure. This project will serve as a flagship initiative in the local new-energy and smart-logistics sectors, playing a vital role in energy conservation, emissions reduction, and the achievement of China’s dual-carbon goals.
Dakote Energy adheres to the principles of quality first, customer paramountcy, and reputation above all else. We are committed to ensuring that project construction is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, striving through concrete actions to deliver premium projects, enhance the company’s positive image, and successfully complete all project objectives.
