Source:
In the production processes of the energy and chemical industries as well as the semiconductor sector, certain gas streams—such as blast furnace gas and off-gas from gallium nitride epitaxy—contain varying concentrations of ammonia, necessitating the recovery and treatment of this ammonia. In response to this technical need, Dakote has developed a highly efficient water-washing absorption technology for capturing ammonia from ammonia-containing off-gases to produce concentrated ammonium hydroxide. This technology has been successfully implemented in multiple projects across China, effectively addressing a range of challenges associated with conventional sulfuric acid scrubbing, including high sulfuric acid consumption, elevated operating costs, and difficulties in marketing the byproduct ammonium sulfate.
Technical Features and Advantages
µ Advanced and mature technology, with stable and reliable operation.
µ The water-washing ammonia-absorption process can be flexibly configured according to operating conditions, optimizing both capital investment and energy consumption.
µ The self-developed GXR high-efficiency absorption reactor features rapid mass-transfer rates and high purification efficiency.
µ Producing concentrated ammonia solution from ammonia-containing tail gas yields good economic benefits.
Application Fields
Recovery and utilization of ammonia from ammonia-containing tail gases, such as raw coal gas and exhaust gases from gallium nitride epitaxy processes.
