1. Ethylene Recovery from Refinery Dry Gas
Currently, the total volume of dry gas produced by refineries in China is approximately 1000 Ten thousand tons / year, containing approximately ethylene 200 Ten thousand tons / In the past, due to its low concentration and the high cost of ethylene recovery, no low-consumption, high-efficiency recovery methods were available, so it was typically incinerated as a low-cost fuel. If a low-consumption, high-efficiency method for recovering the corresponding ethylene fraction could be implemented and the recovered ethylene used as a feedstock for downstream chemical products, it would be possible to save the crude oil consumed annually in the production of that ethylene. 600~1000 Ten thousand tons.
After years of research, our company has developed an ethylene-specific adsorbent and adopted a low-energy, high-efficiency pressure swing adsorption process, which can achieve an ethylene content of 8~10% Under the specified conditions, ethylene is fully recovered, with the recovered ethylene concentration exceeding 90% , while the ethylene recovery rate exceeds 90%,
Our company’s technology has been technically evaluated by the Urumqi Municipal Science and Technology Commission and is internationally leading.
2 , Catalytic dry gas recovery of ethylene feedstock
When catalyzing dry gas, another technical approach can be employed to remove from the dry gas C 2 and C 3 Recovery of the component (referred to as ethylene feedstock) to reduce its water content below 1ppm , sulfides below 1ppm , carbon dioxide is below 1ppm , becoming the feedstock gas for ethylene production.
Currently, the devices of this type developed by our company not only ensure that the purity of ethylene recovered from catalytic dry gas exceeds 90% , and the yield also exceeds 90% , even reaching 95% , compared with existing other units, its purity and yield are both more than 20 percentage points higher, and the unit’s economic benefits are higher. 50% The foregoing measures can provide ethylene production feedstock to refining units with ethylene plants, thereby reducing petroleum consumption, lowering enterprise production costs, decreasing carbon emissions, and protecting the environment.
This technology is at the leading domestic level and has been put into operation at the Daqing Oilfield, having passed expert acceptance organized by PetroChina.
