This project is an innovative project for the development and utilization of low-concentration gas of Shanxi Yangquan Coal Group, a key project in 2012 supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanxi Province.

The total investment of the project is 249 million yuan, the first phase investment is 140 million yuan, and the total construction area is about 100,000 square meters. The construction was undertaken by Sichuan Dakot Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and the special adsorbent and technical process independently developed by it were completely adopted. In the first phase, the oxygen-containing gas extracted from underground coal mines with a concentration of 20-35% and a flow rate of 12,500 cubic meters/h will be enriched, deoxidized, denitrified, and compressed to produce CNG (compressed natural gas) with a concentration of more than 95%. The second phase is the raw material The gas flow rate is 33,000 cubic meters/h. After purification and liquefaction, it is expected to produce 50,000 tons of LNG (liquefied natural gas) annually.

The first-phase CNG device of the project was installed in early September 2012 and a one-time test run was successful. All indicators reached or exceeded the design standards, and it was officially put into production on September 20, 2012. After more than a year of operation, the performance of the device is safe and reliable, and all indicators are normal and stable.

This project is currently the world's first set of successfully operated projects using low-concentration coal mine gas to make CNG. Its finished products can be used as industrial fuels, civil fuels, power fuels for vehicles and ships, and chemical raw materials. The market prospects are broad.
