Lately, the PSA Hydrogen Production Unit and TSA Purification Unit for 400,000 t/a Methanol and 100,000 t/a Ammonia Synthesis Project (Phase I) of Alxa League Donghai New Energy Industry Co., Ltd.undertaken by DKT Energy successfully passed the Owner's acceptance.The owner highly recognized DKT Energy's product quality and project management level, and awarded DKT Energy the honorary title of “Excellent Supplier”.

DKT Energy’s self-developed patented technologies, Pressure Swing Adsorption and Temperature Swing Adsorption, and self-developed and produced special adsorbents are adopted in this project. The technical advantages of the unit, such as energy saving, high efficiency, safety and stability, simple operation and high operating rate, are fully demonstrated, helping Donghai New Energy to improve quality and efficiency and efficient recycling of resources. Good economic and environmental benefits have been achieved.

1.Technical features and advantages of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA):

- Using a variety of special adsorbents independently developed and produced, and the performance is improved by more than 30% compared with conventional adsorbents;

- Adopting the patented pressure swing adsorption technology independently developed, the plant is flexible in operation, safe and stable in operation, and occupies a small area;

- High hydrogen yield, low energy consumption and low operating cost for purifying hydrogen;

- The hydrogen purification technology is mature, with many engineering achievements and rich experience in engineering design and operation.

2.Technical features and advantages of Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA):

- Reasonable process design is carried out, and single-stage or multi-stage adsorption beds are selected according to the impurity composition and content of gas to ensure ideal purification effect;

- Reasonable design of adsorption tower, especially the tower diameter ratio, gas flow distribution and mechanical water separation, so as to prevent the occurrence of unfavorable phenomena such as bias flow, channel flow and mechanical water being brought into the adsorbent bed, and to ensure the efficient utilization of adsorbent;

- The third-generation special adsorbent for temperature swing adsorption, which is independently developed and improved by DKT, can effectively remove the impurity components (tar, naphthalene, benzene, etc.) in the feed gas. The adsorbent has low density, high pore volume, large specific surface area and larger adsorption capacity, and the desorption is easier and more complete, which can ensure the long-term safe and stable operation of the plant.
